31 août - 4 septembre 2009 en classe devoirs pour la semaine...
  • On se présente, les salutations (greetings)

pour mardi (for Tuesday): Review and study pages 1-3 in your text, Débuts. Read Le français dans le monde on page 15 and use the maps provided in your text to locate the six countries on the right side of the page.

pour jeudi (for Thursday): Review and study pages 4-7 in your text. Go to the Online Learning Center, www.mhhe.com/debuts3. Navigate through the various sections and listen to and repeat the vocabulary that corresponds with pp. 16-17 in your text. Then find the audio program that corresponds to pp. 1-4C  of your Cahier, Part 1 (workbook/lab manual). You will want to have your text nearby to check spelling and gender as you complete all  exercises on those pages. Can you count to 59 in French with a good pronunciation? Incroyable (unbelievable)!

pour vendredi (for Friday): Review and study pp. 8-12(top)in your text. Do the exercises on pp. 6-8 in your Cahier. You will need the audio on the Online Learning Center. If you are having difficulty understanding the words, listen to the vocabulary once again.

 

 

7 - 11 septembre

  • chapitre 1,prepare and show episode 1
 pour mardi: Review and study pages 10-17 in your text. Complete the chapitre préliminaire in your Cahier. Many exercises can be checked in the answer section in the back of the Cahier. Use a different color pen or pencil to self-correct the exercises. Test your vocabulary knowledge by covering up the English and then trying to write what is covered up.

pour jeudi: There will be a quiz on the vocabulaire en contexte, culture and Structures 1 and 2. Expect a dictation as well as multiple choice questions on culture and vocabulary. Test yourself by doing the quiz at the Online Learning Center. Submit your answers.

pour vendredi: Review pp. 18-22 in your text and complete exercises on pp.11-14 in your Cahier. Can you say the alphabet in French now with a good pronunciation? Bravo!

14 - 18 septembre

  • sign-up for Pair Portfolio conference
 pour lundi: Etudiez (study) pp. 25-30 (top) of text. Write down your answers to the Considérez questions on page 30 to share with other students.  Do Cahier exercises for Structures 3 and 4, pp.18-22 (You may substitute D on page 23 for C on p. 22 if you like).

pour mardi: review  structure 5 in your text, read L'école dans le monde francophone and write your answer to A Vous A (to be shared with other students). Complete exercises for structure 5 on pp. 24-5 in your Cahier.

pour jeudi: test yourself by listening to on-line vocab for chap. 1 while covering up first the English and then the French. Do quiz on the Online Learning Center and submit your answers. Study some more if necessary for tomorrow's interro.

pour vendredi: Review pp. 35-40 in your text. Complete and correct pages 29-33 top in Cahier

21-25 septembre

 pour lundi: Etudiez les pages 41-46 dans votre texte. Complete exercises on pp. 33-37 dans votre Cahier.

pour mardi: Révisez (review) les pages 47-51 dans votre texte. Complétez les exercices sur les pages 37-40 dans votre Cahier.

pour jeudi: Prepare your role-play with partner for Pair Portfolio and begin work on composition to be handed in individually at Pair Portfolio conference (see Cahier, pp. 42-3).

pour vendredi: Study for Examen 1, chapitre préliminaire,  chapitres 1 et 2

28 sept.- 2 octobre:  Pair PORTFOLIO conference with prof in D-303 (composition due-pp. 42-43 in Cahier, role-play performed, reading selection for pronunciation)
